Nonantum MA also called “The Lake” is one of the thirteen villages that comprise Newton MA. During the 1930s the lake was under reconstruction and was completed sometime in the 1950s. The local kids used to clear off all the snow and play ice hockey on the frozen lake. This particular village is home to the biggest population of Italian culture in Newton.
