Newton Centre has a lot to offer!
Someone who was looking for an apartment asked me if Newton Centre was accessible by the express buses? Newton Centre has a subway stop and the 52 bus line, but not the express buses, sorry. Apartments in Newton Centre are in high demand because of the T, shops and restaurants here. Many coffee shops (Pete’s, Dunkin Donuts & Starbucks) and the Deluxe Dinner always has a line on Sundays. Unfortunately apartments here do not turnover frequently because, well, once you get an apartment in Newton Centre, -Why move?! Almost everyone that leaves has bought a house or is being transferred out of the area.
Geographically, Newton is a huge city. It covers almost 18 square miles. Newton Centre is on the eastern side of Newton bordered by Chestnut Hill, Newton Highlands, Newton Corner and Thomsonville. Probably the best cross streets would be Centre St. and Beacon St. or Commonwealth Ave. and Centre Street.
